What To Expect

  Following your initial booking you will receive a conformation email, attached with a health questionnaire,  asking questions about your problem, your general health, other medical care you are receiving or medication you are taking, this information is stored securely and is confidential. 

If you prefer this can be completed face to face on you appointment.

Your  appointment generally lasts about 45 minutes to an hour to allow our therapist adequate time to discuss your case history: Listen and ask questions about your conditions.  

Your Practitioner will ask you to make simple movements and stretches to observe your posture and mobility. Because of the body’s structure, pain or stiffness you are experiencing in one part may be linked to a problem elsewhere. Examine the health of the joints, tissues and ligaments using their hands and a highly developed sense of touch called palpation. Your Practitioner will also check for signs of serious conditions they cannot treat and may advise you to see your GP or go to hospital. In this instance you will be provide you with a letter explaining what they believe to be the problem. 

• It is likely the your Practitioner will ask you to remove some of your clothing.  
• Shorts and comfortable, appropriate underwear is advised to be worn for your treatment,
• Please tell your Practitioner if you are uncomfortable about this. 
• You should expect privacy to undress and a gown or towel should be provided,
• Your practitioner will use towels when were suitable to maintain your privacy, 
• You can ask a friend or relative to accompany you and be present throughout your treatment. 

Musclemechanix Practitioners are Highley qualified and experience in the diagnosis, management, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal and other related disorders. Your practitioner will give you a clear explanation of what they find (their diagnosis) and discuss a treatment plan that is suitable for you. They will explain the benefits and any risks of the treatment they are recommending. It is important to understand and agree what the treatment can achieve, and the likely number of sessions needed for a noticeable improvement in how you feel.  

Treatment is hands-on and involves skilled manipulation of the spine and joints, and massage of soft tissues. Your practitioner will explain what they are doing and will always ask your permission to treat you (known as consent). Ask questions at any time if you are unsure what you have been told or if you have any concerns. Self-help measures and advice on exercise may be offered to assist your recovery, prevent recurrence or worsening of symptoms.

We have simplified our pricing structure your initial consultation witch will last approximately 60min is charged at £65, This consists  of Assessment, Diagnoses, hands on treatment, and Home exercise and management plan including access to our online rehabilitation phone app, and web resource. any foldup treatments for this condition are charged at £55 for approximately 30min, after 6 treatments you may be advised to book a reassessment consultation to re evaluate your progress, Additional Shockwave therapy may be suggested if deemed appropriate, and may incur additional charges, in this instance your practitioner will discuss options available to you and allow you to read and supporting information before making a decision,

When booking online, you will be asked to pay on booking via debit card, this deposit is held  by our booking provider Clinicsence and is refundable up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. cash, card or payment via phone link is available on you treatment day, only when  booking via phone or face to face, a deposit may still be requested.

We also accept cash or card payments on the day of treatment if you prefer, for insurance work please contact 07973741595 to discuss if your policy is covered. 

We understand that from time to time life can throw in the unexpected, we will always try our best  to accommodate any changes requested, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment you  will receive a full refund if cancelled  24hours prior to you confirmed appointment, cancellations within 24hours or failure to attend you appointment will result in the loss of your session, you loose your deposit and offered a 50% reduction on your next session. 

If you are running late, let your practitioner know as soon as possible, your session will be reserved for a maximum 20minuets (reducing you total treatment time), exceeding this time your session will be treated a failure to attend.
